Tal como lo anunció Metallica, a raíz de la celebración de los 30 años de The Black Album, producido por Bob Rock, el grupo lanza hoy oficialmente una reedición del LP estrenado originalmente en 1991 y un álbum tributo bajo el nombre de «Blacklist».“The Metallica Blacklist”,  es un disco con reversiones con 50 artistas que abarcan una gama increíblemente amplia de géneros, generaciones, culturas, continentes y más, cada uno contribuyendo con una interpretación única de su corte favorito de Black Album.

The Black Album es una de sus entregas más importantes  de Metallica y uno de los más vendidos de su historia, con sencillos como “Enter Sandman” y “Nothing Else Matters”, vendiendo más de 38 millones, un Grammy, entre otros grandes hitos.

* Todas las ganancias de la lista negra de Metallica se dividirán en partes iguales entre la Fundación All Within My Hands y más de 50 organizaciones benéficas elegidas por los artistas que participan en el álbum. All Within My Hands fue fundada por la banda en 2017 como una forma para que toda la familia Metallica retribuya a las comunidades que han apoyado al grupo, dando soporte para la educación, la fuerza laboral, la lucha contra el hambre y otros.
